Storm stumble in Stouffville

The second exhibition game of the season was an improvement over the first game. The skating and positional play was better although puck control and passing could be improved. There were moments where the Storm maintained pressure but couldn't finish plays. The Storm did get a goal in the second period as a result of some good puck control by Alicia who got the puck to the front of the net where it was banged by the Stars goalie by Alex. Her second goal in two games. Phyllis and Maddie L had several good chances in the third period but wasn't able to capitalize. The Stars pulled their goalie for an extra attacker late in the 3rd period. With less than 10 seconds Emma was holding the puck against the boards to kill the clock but the puck squirted loose. A Stars player got a desperation shot on net that was stopped by Bianca but then she lost sight of the rebound in the crease. It was banged into the net with just 1.9 seconds remaining. A tough way to lose a shutout.
