Winless streak continues

Our second game of the season was against Vaughan but also followed a 17 day layoff. Unfortunately the rust was quite visible. Despite outshooting the opponents 30-19 and having a significant territorial advantage we were on the wrong end of a 3-2 score. Sloppy passing and weak defensive coverage provided Vaughan with the opportunity to come back after a 1st period that the Storm dominated but could only score one goal. In fact our second goal was scored with less than a minute left in the game, with Vaughan serving 2 penalties and with our goalie pulled. With a 6 to 3 manpower advantage, we scored only our second powerplay goal of the season. Scorers for the Storm were Madeleine and Stephanie. The honour of the first game misconduct of the season goes to....MARI!
