The first game of the second round playoffs against Etobicoke was a classic playoff hockey. It was a very tight game with few scoring changes. Therefore it was no surprise that the game ended in a scoreless tie.
Although the Storm dominated the play they were not able to get many shots on net. The Dolphins played a defensive game waiting for their break. They matched lines all night and had a checker hanging on to Mari whenever she was on the ice. They also got away with a fair amount of obstruction. The Storm will have to figure out how to get some shots on net if they want to advance. Lauren N and Kailee did not some decent shots away but if Mari continues to attract that much attention, others will have to step it up.
